  Q   Why is Citrix now delivering some of their certificates electronically?
  A Citrix Education is committed to supporting the environment. In an effort to reduce our carbon footprint, we are no longer offering paper certificates for the Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) and Citrix Certified Sales Professional (CCSP) certifications. Electronic certificates will be in PDF format, allowing recipients to easily share or print as needed.
  Q   Which certifications come with an electronic certificate, and which certifications come with a paper certificate?
  A Citrix Certified Administrator™ (CCA) and Citrix Certified Sales Professional™ (CCSP) candidates will receive an electronic certificate. Individuals achieving the Citrix Certified Enterprise Engineer™ (CCEE), Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator™ (CCEA), Citrix Certified Integration Architect™ (CCIA) and Citrix Certified Instructor™ (CCI) will receive a paper certificate.
  Q   How long will it take to receive an electronic certificate?
  A Electronic certificates will be sent within one business day of certification completion. However, it may take up to four business days for completion information to be sent to the Certification Manager.
  Q   What e-mail address will my certificate be sent to?
  A Electronic certificates will be sent to your e-mail address listed in Certification Manager. Please ensure this email address is current to allow for prompt delivery.
  Q   I haven’t received an e-mail with my electronic certificate. Who should I contact?
  A Please check your spam folder to see if there is an e-mail from Training@citrix.com. If you still cannot locate this e-mail, please contact Training@citrix.com.
  Q What is the difference between the CCA and the CCA Platinum?
  A To obtain a CCA Platinum, which certifies breadth of  product knowledge, candidates must earn a CCA certification in a core product or delivery controller of your choice such as XenApp, XenServer, NetScaler or XenDesktop and then pass additional exam(s) for line of sight or supporting products from within the platinum edition of that product.   Q What is the difference between the CCA Platinum and the CCAA?
  A The CCA Platinum certifies breadth of knowledge across a platinum edition of a product, while the CCAA certifies advanced administration knowledge in a product. View the Administrator page for certification requirements and additional information.
  Q Are the CCAA, CCEE, and CCIA designations available for XenApp 5 on Windows   Server 2003? 
  A No, the new CCAA, CCEE and CCIA will only be released for XenApp 5 on Windows Server 2008. No advanced certifications are planned for XenApp 5 on Windows Server 2003. To attain advanced certifications on XenApp 5, candidates must pursue the Windows Server 2008 path.
  Q As a result of the release of the new Citrix certification structure, are any older certifications discontinued or expired?
  A

Yes, the following certifications have been discontinued or expired:

  • Discontinued (current, but no longer attainable) as of 1/5/09: CCA for Citrix XenApp (Presentation Server 4)
  • Expired (no longer current) as of 3/15/2009: CCA for MetaFrame Access Suite 3.0 and CCA for MetaFrame XP Presentation Server

All courses and exams associated with the above mentioned certifications will be expired or discontinued respectively. For more information on Certification retirement or discontinuation, visit the Certification Policies page.

  Q I have fulfilled all certification requirements but have not received my certificate. Should I request a new certificate?
  A Once you have become Citrix Certified™, a certificate is mailed to the address on record within Certification Manager. If you have not received your certificate after 4 weeks for delivery in the United States, or after 8 weeks outside of the United States, you may request a second certificate by clicking ‘Request Certificate’ on the left-hand side of the Candidate Record page and entering your request details.  If you request an additional certificate before the 4 or 8 week period expires, your request will be manually denied.  If the request is made after the necessary wait time, a new certificate will be sent to you promptly. To avoid delays, please ensure that the address on file in your Candidate Record is correct. If you are pursuing the CCEA or CCIA certifications, be sure that you have accepted the appropriate certification agreement. In the event of a change of address, a new certificate will be mailed.
  Q How do I obtain the logos for the certifications I have attained?
  A Access your Candidate Record in Certification Manager and click ‘Get Logos’ in the left-hand column.  Select the appropriate logo and file format, then follow the download instructions.
  Q I already have a CCEA or CCIA in XenApp (Presentation Server 4), can I update my certification to the new XenApp 5 certification?
  A

Yes, update paths with reduced requirements are now available for CCEAs and CCIAs on version 4 or older to move to the CCEE and CCIA for XenApp 5 on WIndows Server 2008. 

  Q How do I accept the certification agreement for my new certification?
  A Access your Candidate Record in Certification Manager and click ‘Supporting Requirements’ in the left-hand column of your ‘Candidate Record’.  In the requirements list, select the appropriate certification agreement.  Download and review the agreement, click ‘Yes’ to agree, then click ‘Submit’.
  Q I already passed exam 259 and am currently a CCA for XenApp (Presentation Server 4) on Windows Server 2003. Do I need go take the 259 exam again to become a CCA for XenApp 5 for Windows Server 2003?
  A No, if you already passed the 259 exam, you do not need to take it again. You will be recognized as a CCA for XenApp 5 for Windows Server 2003. An updated certificate will be sent to you automatically.  If you do not receive this certificate, please email training@citrix.com.
  Q How can I get administrative rights to view our employees’ certification status?
  A Due to legal implications, we may not allow the capability to grant third party access to any individual’s record in Certification Manager. An employee may publish his/her certification status to you using the ‘Publish Certificate’ link in their candidate record.
