CCEA and CCIA for MetaFrame XP and Access Suite 3.0 Expiration Notice
On June 30, 2010, the following Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator (CCEA) and Citrix Certified Integration Architect (CCIA) certifications will expire:
- CCEA for MetaFrame XP Presentation Server
- CCEA for MetaFrame Access Suite 3.0
- CCIA for MetaFrame XP Presentation Server
After this date, these certifications will no longer be current and will be listed as "expired" on Certification Manager transcripts.

Individuals who hold these certifications and who have not obtained a more current version have until the expiration date of June 30, 2010 to take advantage of update paths* for the new Citrix Certified Enterprise Engineer (CCEE) and Citrix Certified Integration Architect (CCIA) for Virtualization. With the update path, only one exam is required for updating to CCEE and one additional (two total) exam is required for CCIA**. After June 30, 2010, individuals holding the expired certifications are strongly encouraged to take one of the following courses of action:
- Complete the Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator (CCEA) for Citrix XenApp (Presentation Server 4) if progress has been made on three or more requirements. Completing this certification will entitle you to take advantage of the CCEE and CCIA update paths.
- Begin completing requirements for the new CCEE for Virtualization if no progress has been made towards the CCEA. The new, streamlined requirements consist of a total of 5 exams, and if you possess any of the recent Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) or Citrix Certified Advanced Administrator (CCAA) certifications, you may have already fulfilled part of the requirements.

*The update path is recommended for seasoned professionals who possess knowledge of or hands-on experience in Citrix virtualization technologies. For those without experience in these technologies, following the complete CCEE and CCIA paths is recommended. Please note that individuals with expired versions of the CCEA and CCIA for XP are not eligible to use the update path. Individuals with previously expired CCEA and CCIA XP certifications are encouraged to take one of the two courses of action indicated above now.
